You know that saying about teaching a man to fish as opposed to giving him a fish.
Well, I've got a new saying. "Give a boy some toys, and he will play for only a few hours...Give a boy a box and he will play for a lifetime" hg
As you can see they were up to their early morning antics again. But this time the antics involved the box, or as they call it "their bunkhouse." I have no idea why.
But, I do know that they want to be in the over sized box constantly.
They played in it this morning. They had lunch in it. And Pearson is currently doing his reading in it (with a flashlight, his eyes got very wide when I suggested this option) right now.
How is it that as a mom I forget the wonder that is a box? How do I forget the mystique and magic that occurs for days on end when a box is around.
Go get yourself one right now, you won't be disappointed. And the beauty is that you might have to buy something fun in order to get a large box, furniture maybe...boost our economy.
I give all of you permission (I mean those of you who are obligated to buy my boys gifts) to buy them a box. Don't worry about plastic goodies anymore....just give them good old cardboard.
As for me, I still want the plastic!
