It is this unattainable, creative, appeals to my anal theme orientation goodness....that Cari and I tried to create today. But as you can tell by the semi-scary look on her face below we didn't quite achieve our goal. In fact you might say it was a debacle. Let me re-create the scene for you.
It all started a couple of weeks ago when my dear friend, who is like the queen of all things creative and beautiful, made these cake pops for her Bible study. Cari saw the picture of said pops on my lovely, talented at all things, friend's blog and decided that we should make them for Easter.
Cari wanted nothing to do with a simple cake pop drizzled with sprinkles, no she wanted to achieve the cute and ever elusive baby chick cake pop. So, off to Michael's we went. We were hypnotized by the isles of sprinkles and cake/cupcake/cake pop decorating paraphernalia. We spent an undisclosed amount of money (Rob may see this and I don't want Cari to get into trouble) all in the name of Easter Festivities. (aka...pride, bragging rights)
We planned that today would be the day we assembled our chocolaty delights!
As we began things went terribly awry. It didn't take long to realize we were no bakerellas!
The following may not be suitable for children. It is a chocolaty, chickity nightmare.

You didn't have to say all that awesome stuff about me being creative and stuff, but I appreciate it though. I think it's safe to say I should stick to chocolate chip cookies, hey??? Who was I trying to fool?
Hallie Wallie...This is Momma...I love your baby chick debacle. You two are way too funny together (and slightly insane)...but fun!! Love you
I cannot believe how great your blog is!! Please don't ever take away your blog goodness.
Where do you get all these fabulous blog ideas. Neat!!
Thank you for blogging.
At first, I was impressed that you had 5 comments & then I realized they were all from that crazy lady in your first photo.
I'm sorry they didn't work out. I guess we can't ALL be the queen of all things creative. (Read that last line with intense sarcasm, otherwise I'll sound like a narcissist)
oh my gosh, that is so funny!! I bet it tasted better than it turned out. Good try girls. Keep it up.
Okay, so I tried this today, because on the bakerella site it looked "fun" and "cute", and "easy", and since Emily did it. . . . I thought you were just being funny. . . . Anyway, let's just say this is for the Martha's and the Emily's in this world, and not for the rest of us PER SE.
Oh, and I think you're blog site is delicious, I check it many many many times a day, I just have technology issues with leaving comments. . . . so if you quit I will throw chick pops at you. Carrie had better have been kidding.
Not sure why you let that girl talk you into such things.. at least she funded it... after all.. she is rich from what she always tells me.
