Pearson and Zach

This picture is from our trip to Chester. It was the first picture I took up there and my favorite. I had thought about using it for our Christmas card but went with a different one. Anyway, I wanted all of you to see it.
Also, I thought I would share about my sweet Pearson.
Yesterday, he was reading a story aloud from his Reading Book. It was about a father who was going to help in the war. Anyway, I was explaining the war in Iraq to Pearson and showing him where it was on the map. I told him that many fathers and mothers would not be with their families at Christmas and how hard that would be. Pearson's little eyes started welling up with tears. He didn't say a word. Just listened to me with the look of sincere empathy on his face. This morning the boys were in the car waiting for me to load up. I heard Pearson say "Zach I need to tell you something so very sad. Some people are in a battle in Iraq and won't be able to see their kids for Christmas. Isn't that so sad?"
Of course my heart melted. I really do have a tender hearted boy who is perceptive when others are hurting. I love that about him. Zach wanted to know if he could be first with the gameboy...I love that about him.

So sweet! He definitely has his mom's heart. That is exactly like you. Zach's comment was adorable too and such a three year old. Wow, almost four, crazy.
