Boys, School and Perspective

So, we had some college kids at our house the other day...and this is what happened. It was so funny/ heart wrenching. I ran in to get my camera and as soon as I went to shoot I was like, "Oh my word these are going to be my boys...like...tomorrow...my boys are going to be college boys..." I could just see them and all their friends being crazy maniacs (if you can imagine it on a grander scale then it is all ready) in our pool. They'll be the bottom of the chicken! It puts things into perspective.

And let me say this...I would be blessed if my boys were like any of these godly college boys!

And then 4th and 1st grade started. Will this really be my fifth year of home school? How old AM I?

I know you've seen this exact same pose in this exact same placement over the years...but I don't direct them, they just fit together like this, it's their default position, if you will.

Here is a glimpse of the white board that hangs above their desks. They love checking off the boxes (in seasonal colors, mind you) as they finish their work. I wonder where they get that from?
