Pearson's Magnum Opus

Our Pearson is a smart cookie. He loves to build things, he enjoys his Lego's. However, he gets defeated very easily. (I really have no idea where he gets that from.) He had gotten a K-nex theme park set for his birthday and has been asking for some time if he could put it together. Knowing that my sweet husband wasn't going to have time to help us I decided to brave my directional ineptitude and guide Pearson through it. I am proud to say we conquered the mind-numbingly small pieces! Only one major melt down, his not mine, and he truly did it Mostly on his own. He is so proud of his work, nearly 48 hours of blood, sweat and tears. I think he has a little more confidence in his ability to tackle this kind of endeavor, as do I. I told him this morning that I was going to call it his magnum opus (we recently read Charlotte's Web) he smiled a sweet toothless grin!

The roller coaster and Ferris wheel are in motion, I wanted you to experience their full Splendor!

ok. i bought my kids the k-nex double roller coaster set. we attempted putting it together as a team. that lasted an hour. i (not so) sweetly suggested that I put it together for them. they happily agreed to leave the angst mother to her roller coaster. i think i stayed up until midnight finishing it. it was quite a gratifying experience for me, but not so much for my kids. good job pearson. good job hallie.

Magnum Opus??? You're gonna have to start using simpler words. I think my thyroid is affecting my brain.
